A lot of things have been going on in my life lately.

As you are probably aware, I am creating my own Forex Trading robot and it is very exciting. At the same time, I know I’m not the best Forex Trader so I am also testing a lot of different Forex Strategies, which are as follow:

- Ichimoku: A Japanese strategy created by Goichi Hosod. Testing it on EUR/USD and GBP/USD on the 4H chart.
- Hans: Strategy created by, well the name says it, Hans, which has been spreaded on multiple Forex forums. It uses the Pivot system (even though I had bad luck with the Pivot system in the past), it seems to create good results. I am resting it on the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and USD/CHF on the M5 (5 min) charts.
- RoboMiner: A commercial Expert Advisor (offered free for a Demo account) which uses the “Grid” technique. Again, not a big fan of the “Grid” technique as there are no Stop-Loss used but it seems to be very profitable for a lot of people. Used with AUD/NZD.
- My personal Strategy version A
- My personal Strategy version B
Two versions with two different settings. I will share how the strategy works if it becomes successful, for now it’s a secret .

These strategies are all tested using 0.1 lot at a time (for each currency).

I have started testing Ichimoku, Hans and My Strategy A and B since April and started Robominer in the middle of May. Let me share with you the results:

For the month of April, my results include all the currencies combined, but starting this month I will post with all the different currency pairs to see if there are pairs that are more successful than others. So, the May Results will be a lot more detailed, but I will still give you the ones for April:

Ichimoku: -658
Hans: 109.84
My strategy A: -1392.99
My strategy B: 76.27

So only Hans and My strategy version B were positive. Strategy A got disastrous Stop-Loss at the end of the month and Ichimoku seemed to open a lot of bad trades.

Let’s look at May 2009:

Ichimoku EUR/USD: -523
Ichimoku GBP/USD: 171
Hans EUR/USD: -96
Hans GBP/USD: -111
Hans USD/CHF: -160.63
Hans USD/JPY: 232.51
RoboMiner: 559.84 (one position floating at 1.28 as well)
My strategy A: 64.33
My strategy B: -18.43

I think that Ichimoku can only be profitable with GBP/USD at this point. I will let both currency pairs run for a few more months and decide from there if I only want to keep GBP/USD.

Hans is also very dissapointing, except for USD/JPY which is very surprising and comes in 2nd place this month.

Robominer just blows my mind. 100% win. Of course, like I said, it’s a gridding system but like I mentioned I only have one floating position right now, and it’s positive.

As far as my strategy, the results are not that impressive. It might need some tweaking. Strategy A’s profit definitely don’t account for the losses from last month and Strategy B is still making a small profit if you account last month’s results.

That’s it folks. I will try to keep you posted on a weekly basis instead of monthly from now one if I have the time.

New Trading Software - Week 1 Results

April 19th, 2009 under Forex Trading, Strategies. So far, so good. I have opened a FXDD and a FxOpen account to test my strategy.

I started with $300 with FXDD on a Micro Account and I opened the FxOpen with $5000 since their Demo account doesn’t offer a Micro account so I treat it like a $500 account (I’ll just divide my results by 10). So here are the results:

I started the accounts with conservative settings but now I am going into agressive settings after a few months of test.

So my FXDD technically started with $345.75 and my FxOpen account with $5957.15 (translated to $595.72 for a Micro).

Here are the results:

FXDD

FxOpen

————————————————————————

My goal is my FXDD account to reach $500. It has made a $11.41 profit. My FxOpen account made $924.67 (translated to $92.47 profit for a Micro Account with $500).

I will share my technique when I get confirmation that my strategy can run on the long run (I did some backtesting and have a pretty good feeling about it).

Also, I might re-consider my broker. FxOpen seems to have made so much more than FXDD, mainly due to the spreads being much lower.

See you soon!

Why did I not post for about a year?

January 30th, 2009 under General News, MoneyBull, Personal. The reason why I need a full-time job for now is that I am still learning (3-4 years) Forex and the multiple investments opportunities so I am mainly trading on a Demo account and a Live acccount with a small deposit, hence I can’t live just from that. I am still focusing a lot on my personal investment and my trading during my personal time which is why I have not updated this blog.

I will try, in the future, to update this blog as much as possible, as I just recently started to trade a system that seems to be very profitable. I will keep you posted on that.

I am still unsure if the HYIP section will stay here just because I have come to realize after years of investments that almost all HYIPs are scams and I don’t want to promote scams.

What you should expect in the next few weeks:

More articles

More reviews about Forex brokers or trading signal service

More information about my new trading robot

Many changes to the website

I hope my fellow readers are still there and hopefully I will get those articles ready ASAP.

Forex Broker Review: FxOpen

February 22nd, 2008 under Forex Trading, Brokers. It was the one of the only broker accepting E-Gold after Marketiva (review coming soon) stopped.

Trading with FxOpen is smooth and easy. They offer fixed spreads which is very nice and convenient. News trader will be amazed by how easy it is to trade the news with this platform. If the price moves 50 pips in one second, your order will always be triggered when and where you wanted it to be.

They use the Metatrader platform, which most people like (I do). It is very easy to use and allows you add any kind of indicators you want. They also support using EA.

Deposits and withdrawals are also made very quickly (only tried with E-Gold) and everything is processed in their “Cabinet” section.

Their support couldn’t be better. They answer their e-mails normally in about 24 to 48 hours, and offer a forum where you can get an ever quicker answer.

There has been a controversy with FxOpen. You can read about it there: FxOpen.info. This website claims that FxOpen stole their money. FxOpen has blocked or deleted any threads in their forums that was referring to this website, even those who were just asking questions and FxOpen’s management claims that this website has been made by an angry ex-business parter.

The other thing that bothers me a bit is that they are not regulated by any association.

In overall, the trading conditions and the incredible support offered by FxOpen make them a company of choice, especially for news traders. On the other hand, I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting too much money with them.

« Previous entries

Ads

 marketing

Poll

Which service would you prefer?

Investment Program

Forex Signals

Either one would be great

Other

<a href="#ViewPollResults" onclick="poll_result(5);
