July 2010 Results, Quartely report and other articles delayed
August 9th, 2010 under General News, MoneyBull, Personal. [ Comments: 2 ]

Hi

I just wanted to you let everyone know that, as you can problably have seen, a lot of articles are delayed.

I’ve been having some health issues lately, mainly migraines and I have been trying to deal with that, working full-time and still have time to invest, so I don’t have a lot of time on my hands. I promise once I get the time I will get back to it because that website means a lot to me, and I know I have a quite a few readers that are probably wondering when the next updates will come (Thanks for your emails by the way).

I’m currently investing in Silver, and will keep you posted on that as well.

Sincerely,

Ben

June 2010 - Results
July 21st, 2010 under Currency Trading, Expert Advisors Testing, Monthly. [ Comments: none ]

Hi!

I will start only posting the monthly results here without graphs from now on. And will give cumulative results in my Quarterly reports.

On another note, one word to sum up June for trading: Ouch!

Here are the results for June 2010 for Fxopen:

ACG: -439
AFG: +68.21
Dragon EUR/USD: 152
Dragon GBP/USD: 85
H4: -923.77
Tom: -47.44
Gator: +270

H4 took a beating, very dissapointing. The only two robots that I trust now are AFG and Dragon. Gator has a big stop-loss so I don’t really feel comfortable with it despite the good results.

Now here are the results for June 2010 for FXDD:

ACG: -915 (DROPPED)
AFG: +69.17
Dragon EUR/USD: +120
H4: -676.03
Tom: -18.58
Gator: 300

Again, pretty much the same. I am dropping ACG, it is simply not working on this platform.

Have a good day,

Ben

May 2010 - Results
June 2nd, 2010 under Currency Trading, Monthly. [ Comments: none ]

Hi!

These are the results from May 2010. I am happy to announce that I will be putting money in my FxOpen account in June and will start trading LIVE in June or July. I think 6 months is enough to see if a robot is profitable or not. But I will still continue to test them on a demo account, mainly to compare.

Here are the results for May 2010 for Fxopen:

ACG: +155
AFG: +183.48
Dragon EUR/USD: -99
Dragon GBP/USD: -65
H4: -57.82
Tom: +177.47
Gator: +259

Cumulative from December 2009 to May 2010:

ACG: +107
AFG: +280.28
Dragon EUR/USD: +112
Dragon GBP/USD: -60
H4: +621.97
Tom: -48.71
Gator: +799

I had technical difficulties with H4 which I believe is why it got a loss. Dragon GBP/USD is not very profitable, it has been creating profit on and off. I might consider dropping it. I still have a feeling that ACG is not my kind of robot, but we will see. AFG made huge progress. I’m disappointed in the loss from Dragon EUR/USD. I guess it wasn’t the month for Dragon. Gator is performing extremely well but also has a stop-loss of 500, so we will see. Tom made me smile with that big recovery.

The only 2 robots I would feel comfortable putting live are AFG and H4 at the moment. Gator is very profitable but hasn’t been tested long enough. The other ones are too unstable. On the other hand, AFG only had 1 month out of 7 where there was a loss, so I’m very confident in it. It seems like an awesome scalper. H4 also only had 1 month with a loss, but only has been tested for 4 months. The results are fantastic though and I like the way it trades.

Now here are the results for May 2010 for FXDD:

ACG: -259
AFG: +132.61
Dragon EUR/USD: -46
Dragon EUR/GBP: -321.04
H4: +221.26
Tom:+122.40
Gator: -515

Cumulative from April 2010 until May 2010 for FXDD:

ACG: -120
AFG: +147.76
Dragon EUR/USD: -55
Dragon EUR/GBP: -321.04 (DROPPED)
H4: -36.67
Tom:-67.75
Gator: +55

ACG had a big loss. AFG had a huge gain, which I am really happy about. Dragon struggled with FXDD as well and I will drop the EUR/GBP version as it is obviously not profitable. H4 recovered, I have good confidence in this robot. Tom also recovered, and I’m still working on not making it trade on Fridays, because this is where all the losses come from because of the spike from the week-ends. Gator had a big loss, which is normal for a robot with a 500 pips stop-loss. It either make huge gains or huge losses. Overall, my FxOpen account is doing better than my FXDD account.

That’s it everyone, have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening (depending where you are in the world) :) This is why I love the Internet, hehe.

Promotion at my job
June 2nd, 2010 under General News, Personal. [ Comments: 1 ]

Hi everyone!

I just realized that I forgot to share this fantastic news to all my readers. Most of you know that I’m only a Part-Time trader, so I need a Full-Time job and I work in retail for Koodo Mobile, a cellphone company.

In April 1st 2010, I got promoted from Sales Rep to Senior Sales Rep. It means more responsibilities, but also more money. This will allow me to have more seed money to put in currency trading and eventually achieve my ultimate goal: Financial Freedom.

Pop-ups explanation
June 2nd, 2010 under General News, MoneyBull. [ Comments: none ]

Hi everyone!

I noticed the other day when going on my website to see the look of it on another computer that there was a pop-up coming up. I hate pop-ups as much as everyone else and would never us that type of advertising as I find it annoying and intrusive.

I investigated and it turned out that Obeus, which I have been using as an ad company for years has a script on some links that generate a pop-up. So I immediately dropped them. I will only use BidVertiser for now, which is a reliable and honest company that I have been using for a long time.

I am not aware of how long this has been going on, but some readers did email me about it and told me it started about a month ago. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Ben

P.S. Stay tuned for my latest May 2010 Forex Robots results; it’s pretty exciting.

April 2010 - Results
May 13th, 2010 under Currency Trading, Expert Advisors Testing, Monthly. [ Comments: none ]

Hi!

I just started this month to trade with FXDD because I’m having problem depositing with Alertpay in my FxOpen account, and I thought I’d try both. Let’s compare the results :)

I am also introducing two new robots:

Tom: EUR/GBP scalper, replacing Thunder.
Gator: Short-term trend analyzer the Alligator indicator, with a little tweak to make it more powerful. Runs on the EUR/USD with a stop-loss of 500 and a profit taking of 30.

Here are the results for April 2010 for FxOpen:

ACG: +124
AFG: +28.80
Dragon EUR/USD: -90
Dragon GBP/USD: +10
H4: +56.38
Tom: -226.18
Gator: +540

Cumulative from December 2009 to April 2010:

ACG: -48
AFG: +96.80
Dragon EUR/USD: +211
Dragon GBP/USD: +5
Thunder: DROPPED
FxUltra: DROPPED
H4: +679.76
Tom: -226.18
Gator: +540

Good performance from pretty much every robot. First lost for Dragon EUR/USD. Dragon GBP/USD is not picking up much, I might consider dropping it. H4 wins again! Tom is not performing well for now, because I keep tweaking the settings. I will try to be more careful. Gator is doing good but with a stop-loss of 500 you never know what might happen.

Now here are the results for April 2010 for FXDD:

ACG: +139
AFG: +15.15
Dragon EUR/USD: -9
Dragon GBP/USD: ? (not working)
H4: -257.93
Tom:-190.15
Gator: +570

Dragon GBP/USD doesn’t seem to be working so I will replace it for EUR/GBP next month. H4 is not working well at all with FXDD and Tom is still under progress. Gator again produces good results and ACG and AFG have a good start. Dragon EUR/USD is about the same as FxOpen.
