Forex Overdrive (v3 & new v4) – EA Review
October 18th, 2011 under Commercial, Reviews. [ Comments: none ]

Name: Forex Overdrive (Version 3 and new Version 4)

Link: http://www.forexoverdrive.com

Price: $99

Overview: This robot peeked my curiosity when I saw how well it was performing on Forex-Robots (which used to provide live tests for EAs).

Description: Use the M5 Timeframe on EUR/USD and GBP/USD. It has a standard Take Profit of 25 and Stop-Loss of 328. Forex Over Drive uses a complex trade entry logic mainly based on price action, moving averages and standard deviation but there is MACD, WPR, DeMarker and Stochastics used as well. To exit a trade there is a trailing stop used in combination with a fixed takeprofit and stoploss.

Outlook on the U.S. Dollar – USD/CAD May 2011
May 20th, 2011 under Analysis, Currency Trading. [ Comments: none ]

I am Canadian, but somehow I never really enjoyed trading the USD/CAD. Of course I enjoy the low US prices because it makes online shopping a lot better, but I also despise it because all of my brokers are held in US funds (which is only good if you’re depositing).

While the U.S. was able to extend their debt ceiling window to August 2nd , they will need to come up with $118 billions per month to repay it. (Source: CNN Money)

I believe this will have a huge impact not only on the USD/CAD, but any USD correlated-pair, including commodities.

Let’s take a look at the USD/CAD Daily Chart:

Are you a currency trader? Take a break tomorrow!
April 26th, 2011 under Currency Trading. [ Comments: none ]

Wow, it’s been a while. Sorry about that, I’m gonna use the same old excuse but I’ve been busy with personal and professional events. But I felt I needed to post this today.

Tomorrow, Wednesday April 27th is probably the worst time to trade. Why? Three major events will impact any USD pair:

US FOMC Statement @ around 17:00 GMT (12:00 GMT -5 Eastern Time, New York)

- US Federal Funds Rate also @ around 17:00 GMT (12:00 GMT -5 Eastern Time, New York)

- Followed by US FOMC Press Conference @ around 19:00 GMT (14:00 GMT -5 Eastern Time, New York)

Trading under these conditions is a financial suicide. Expect your Stop-Loss to be hit, spikes on both sides.… Read More…

Live Trading Results – August 2010 to November 2010
December 7th, 2010 under Currency Trading, Live Trading. [ Comments: none ]

Hi!

I realized it has been a long time since I posted, but I have been busy fine tuning my robot and manual trading.

I am now live trading; I might continue to demo trade but it will be just to test my robots. So far I have an army of 5 that I am using with FxOpen. I am also developing a robot that I will put on a single account with most likely FXDD.

My 5 robots include 2 scalpers, 1 short-term trader and 2 trend traders. Due to some technical issues/re-programming, some robots haven’t traded certain months.
August 2010:

Scalper A: -12.76
Trend Trader A:  -1034.40
Trend Trader B: -60

July/August results + Live Trading
September 15th, 2010 under Expert Advisors, Monthly, Quarterly. [ Comments: none ]

Hi everyone!

Sorry about the delay for the results. I am pleased to announce you that started LIVE Trading! I will make a separate section for that.

I will still continue to demo some robots, but I will have to take some off for poor performance and add new ones to test them before putting them live. If the results are good and consistent, which mean no losses for 3 months in a row, I will put it live.

Also, I stopped demo trading with FXDD, I might give them another shot in the future.

I won’t do any charts today but will give you the results:

July (FxOpen)

ACG: +198
AFG: +58.58
Dragon EUR/USD: +145

June 2010 – Results
July 21st, 2010 under Currency Trading, Expert Advisors, Monthly. [ Comments: none ]

Hi!

I will start only posting the monthly results here without graphs from now on. And will give cumulative results in my Quarterly reports.

On another note, one word to sum up June for trading: Ouch!

Here are the results for June 2010 for Fxopen:

ACG: -439
AFG: +68.21
Dragon EUR/USD: 152
Dragon GBP/USD: 85
H4: -923.77
Tom: -47.44
Gator: +270

H4 took a beating, very dissapointing. The only two robots that I trust now are AFG and Dragon. Gator has a big stop-loss so I don’t really feel comfortable with it despite the good results.

Now here are the results for June 2010 for FXDD:

ACG: -915 (DROPPED)
AFG: +69.17
Dragon EUR/USD:… Read More…
